I don't think I like this mom...

WOW!! 4 posts in 1 day! Crazy!!!

Brock tried rice cereal for the first time last week (he was 5 months old). He liked it and he did pretty good. It was way funny to watch him and it got all over his face, hands, the bumbo chair, his bib, in his hair but I think he swallowed a bunch.

Having said that, we tried peas for the first time yesterday.... did he like peas? You can be the judge of that.

Look at me! Look at me!

Brock has a new trick!

On March 5 (Grandma Teresa's birthday) Brock rolled over. He has done it two other times, once when he was 2 months old on accident, and once on Nana's birthday January 12th when he was mad and had had enough tummy time. But it is official now. He is a rolling machine. He pushes up on his hands and then leans to one side, (he can rollover left or right) and then he just lets himself fall over and his body follows. He is really close to rolling over from back to tummy too. He's done it one time, but not consistently. We are so proud!

Anyone want some jam?

Toe jam that is...

When I took Brock's feet out of his footie pajamas this is what I found. Gross! ha ha ha ha ha

Sad baby

Early this month, March 4, Brock had a clogged tear duct. Look how sad he looked with his droopy eye. Poor little guy. He had been acting sad and sleeping a lot and he also had a low grade fever two nights in a row. Being a new mom, a new paranoid mom I should add, I took him to the doctor. The doc said he is teething, which makes sense of all the drool and the fever, and that he just had a clogged tear duct. Nothing to worry about. Not conjunctivitis, so I was glad. He gave me eye drops just in case it got worse, but to massage his duct and apply a warm wash cloth. I gave Brock a couple doses of tylenol throughout the week, massaged and used the wash cloth and now he is good as new. I'm sure glad :)

Happy Birthday dear Darrik...!!!!!!!

My sweet husband turned 29 on Saturday March 7. I hope he had a good day. It looks like he did. Let's take a look, shall we?
Good morning sweetheart!

I made crepes and hashbrowns for breakfast... YUM!!! (they don't look pretty, but they tasted soooo good!)
Darrik took the dogs to our friend Tim's parents farm durring the day (it was such a beautiful day) while I went to a bridal shower. They got some good exercise outside running around, I think he had fun.
That night we went to Red Robin with lots of friends. Thanks to all who came to support Darrik on his special day.

Later that night we went to the Elite Gym in Ogden for some fun jumping, running, playing, eating (cupcakes and ice cream) and laughing. We had a really good turn out, over 40 people came!! I didn't get many pictures, my camera died :( but I know he had a fun night. He was sure sore the next morning.
Happy Birthday Baby!! I hope you had a blast.

Boogaloo at 5 months

(thanks for this hat Rachael)

Our little Boogs is 5 months old today! I can hardly believe it. But at the same time I think, only 5 months, that's it? It seems like he has always been with us. Weird I know, but he is such a HUGE part of our lives now. Our whole world revolves around him, and it seems like he has always been a part of it and I can't imagine life without him. So 5 months seems like a short amount of time, but yet, 5 moths old is big in baby terms.... you get my point right? Anyway...

Boogs is a new nickname. I call you my little Boogaloo, and Boogs for short. Your daddy wants to call you Ears because you have such big ears. Your great-grandpa White has big ears as well and we think that's where you get it.

You are getting to be such a busy body. Your arms and legs are constantly moving. Hands reaching for toys, mom and dad's face, grabbing, squeezing, pinching, exploring. Arms in motion all the time. You are constantly patting your thighs with your hands. Mommy will sing 'Going on a bear hunt...' and you will pat your thighs. Legs kicking, runing in the air, bouncing. You are arching your back and looking all around when you are on your back. You are enjoying tummy time more and more each day. You are making it harder and harder for mommy to change your diaper because you are so curious about the things around you and you want to look at everything. Every sound draws your attention and you turn your head. You are excited by our dogs. You reach for them and they give you kisses which you like most of the time. You have recently found your feet and toes which you absolutely love.

You have started to babble and coo a lot more. Lately you have been screaming at the top of your lungs, high pitched like a girl. You do this at random times. Some times when you are excited, and some times when you want attention or are mad. You are a little jibber jabber. You also have been grunting and growling. We love listening to you talk to yourself.

You are now in size 3 diapers which means you are over 17 pounds. You are about 27 inches long. Still a big boy, but starting to slow down. You are still nursing which is good. We had a little bit of a scare a while back. I got the flu and my milk supply decreased dramatically. We worked hard pumping after every feeding and drinking and eating a TON to get it back and its not quite to where it was before, but there is enough for you to eat and be satisfied. You will start rice cereal soon!

We love you little man!

Here are some pictures I took of Brock at 5 months old. Such a little cutie!
